Morrison Institute and the Arizona Republic released a new poll that looks at how Arizonans perceive a variety of aspects of the coronavirus pandemic. Arizona Horizon's Ted Simons speaks with Andrea Whitsett, Director of ASU's Morrison Institute about the findings.

The Arizona Republic reported that more than half of Arizona adults believe the state should permanently increase the amount of money people can receive in weekly unemployment benefits, according to a Morrison Institute-Arizona Republic poll conducted during the coronavirus pandemic.

Support for expanded benefits spanned nearly every income level and age bracket.

The ASU Morrison Institute-Arizona Republic COVID-19 Poll is a census-balanced poll of Arizonans, regardless of their voter registration status. Morrison Institute fielded this poll in order to elevate the perspectives of all Arizonans to inform policy discourse and decision making.
