Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Resources in Arizona

Map of Arizona with different shading

Morrison Institute’s gap analysis looks at communities and their ranking on risk factors and available services to provide information to decision-makers, community organizations, and funders about the strengths and unaddressed need across communities in Arizona.

Morrison Institute considered risk indicators across domains of child well-being – socio-economic status, adverse perinatal outcomes, substance abuse, crime, and child maltreatment – to determine where risks concentrate in Arizona. Identifying where risks concentrate is important because the presence of multiple risk factors can have long term effects on children’s development.
