As a Water Policy Analyst at the Kyl Center for Water Policy, part of ASU’s Morrison Institute for Public Policy, Susan is driving projects on water resilience and working with top water experts to develop a “blueprint” for meeting the state’s water needs in the next century. Before joining the Kyl Center, Susan worked for Arizona’s three primary state water agencies and led state water programs for 20 years. She has extensive knowledge of the state’s water issues, policies and players. Most recently, she worked at the Water Infrastructure Finance Authority of Arizona (WIFA) where she focused on promoting vital infrastructure investments. She also worked at ADWR to develop and implement the state’s drought and conservation programs and established messaging campaigns to encourage water stewardship. Earlier in her career, Susan was with ADEQ where she supervised the watershed management and water quality grant programs. She has led numerous state committees, including the Clean Colorado River Alliance, Governor’s Drought Task Force Interagency Coordinating Group and Rural Water Infrastructure Committee. She is passionate about the environment and water-use efficiency.
