Merrill: Congressional divide on issues likely to continue

The Arizona Republic reported on the continued congressional divide on such issues as budget cuts and debt limit, including among Arizona's delegates:

“These members of Congress are elected from specific constituencies on the right and left, and they tend to see their obligation as representing the groups that elected them as opposed to voting for what’s best for the country overall,” said Bruce Merrill, a senior research fellow at the Morrison Institute for Public Policy at Arizona State University.
