Smoking Status Among Arizona Adults

Each year, close to half a million people in the United States die from tobacco use, making it the leading cause of preventable death. Although adult smoking in Arizona has decreased in recent decades, as of 2008, 15.9% of Arizonans reported smoking “everyday” or “some days.”
